摘要：PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic device with improved user friendliness which displays menus with selection items in such a way that it is easy to recognize which menu the selection items belong to.SOLUTION: An electronic device has a display unit which displays a plurality of menu items and an item selector for showing a selected item. The display unit is capable of displaying at least first and second items of a first hierarchy and items of a second hierarchy associated with the first item of the first hierarchy. Every time selection means is manipulated, the item selector (such as blinking) moves in order from the first item of the first hierarchy (menu 1), the first items of the second hierarchy (menu 1-1, menu 1-2), and the second item of the first hierarchy (menu 2). When the selection means is manipulated to reverse the movement while the item selector is on the second item of the first hierarchy (menu 2), the item selector does not move to the first items of the second hierarchy (menu 1-1, 1-2) but moves to the first item of the first hierarchy (menu 1).
