摘要:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide iron oxide nano magnetic particle powder having the characteristics of ferromagnetism even in the average particle diameter of 15 nm or lower, preferably, 10 nm or lower, a method for producing the same, an iron oxide nano magnetic particle thin film comprising the iron oxide nano magnetic particle powder, and a method for producing the same.SOLUTION: As starting raw material, &bgr;-FeO(OH)(iron oxide hydroxide)nano fine particles are used, and the (iron oxide hydroxide) nano fine particles are covered with a silicon oxide, and are heat-treated in an ambient air atmosphere to generate iron oxide nano magnetic particles of a &egr;-FeOphase as a single phase with the average particle diameter of 15 nm or lower, and further, of 10 nm or lower. Further, an iron oxide nano magnetic particle thin film is obtained using the iron oxide nano magnetic particles.
