摘要：PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cellular phone that enables a user to know the contents of mail only by opening a case of the cellular phone before displaying the mail on a main display. SOLUTION: The cellular phone 10 includes: the case 11 which can be opened and closed, an input control unit 114 which recognizes an opening/closing operation of the case, a key operation unit 102 having a plurality of operation keys; a key backlight 103 capable of independently illuminating, a mail transmission/reception unit 111 for transmitting and receiving electronic mail; a feeling recognition and determination unit 112 for making a determination on the contents that the newly received mail shows from the contents of the electronic mail; a display pattern storage unit 123 which stores patterns for making the key backlight emit light; and a display control unit 113 for performing light emission control over the key backlight according to a pattern corresponding to the determined contents. The input control unit recognizes the opening/closing operation of the case and the display control unit performs the light emission control over the key backlight when there is unread mail.
