摘要：<p>Disclosed is a headrest position adjustment device having a simple structure that automatically adjusts the position of a headrest to an appropriate state with a high level of precision. When the distance between a headrest (43) and a head portion (49a) lies within a predetermined range, a detection circuit (20) of the headrest position adjustment device calculates an estimated center position of the head portion (49a) in the height direction on the basis of detected signals from a plurality of detection electrodes (11) to (15) and senses the height position of the head portion (49a) in accordance with the calculated value thereof and, when the distance between the headrest (43) and the head portion (49a) does not lie within the predetermined range, the detection circuit (20) senses the height position of the head portion (49a) on the basis of detected signals from at least the uppermost-disposed detection electrode (11) and the lowermost-disposed detection electrode (15) from among the plurality of detection electrodes (11) to (15).</p>
