摘要：PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning device designed such that load applied on a charging roll by a cleaning member is lessened by a simple configuration and satisfactory cleaning performance can be obtained. SOLUTION: The contact resistance of the internal wall of a bearing hole 26 closer to the charging roll 12 (i.e., the lower side in the figure) is low. The contact resistance of the internal wall of the bearing hole 26 farther from the charging roll 12 (i.e., the upper side in the figure) is high. Thus, a greater force is required for the cleaning member 24 to move upward as indicated by (b) in the figure (the black arrow in the figure), adversely no force is required for the cleaning member 24 to move in the direction to contact with the charging roll 12 (the white arrow in the figure). This prevents the cleaning member 24 to move upward, without using the pressing force of a spring member, etc. and ensures the cleaning of the surface of the charging roll 12 by a simple configuration.
