摘要:本发明涉及一种液晶显示器的制造方法。特别是涉及一种单基板无液晶注入过程,利用聚合物单体在聚合反应中与液晶发生相分离的过程,形成的液晶层被聚合物薄膜覆盖的双层结构,实现液晶材料的封装制作的液晶屏的制造方法。根据器件结构的需要,进一步利用涂布、溅射、光刻贴合等技术完成液晶屏的制造。同传统的液晶屏制造技术相比,省去了空盒制造和空盒注入液晶的过程。在塑料基板和大尺寸液晶显示器制造方面,具有明显优势。该工艺还可使用塑料基板,将液晶屏做得很薄,使液晶屏盒厚和重量降低50%以上。

主权项:1.一种薄膜晶体管液晶显示器液晶屏的制造方法,步骤及特征如下:在基板表面形成取向膜;在形成取向膜的基板表面周边,形成边框胶的支撑结构;在基板表面边框胶支撑结构区域涂布液晶和聚合物单体的混合物;使聚合物单体和液晶发生相分离,实现液晶材料的封装;涂布聚合物单体材料形成保护层;根据器件结构,必要时在聚合物膜上形成透明电极图形;贴付功能基板或保护膜;
