摘要：PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for recovering phenol from a phenol solution obtained after the washing of a strongly acidic ion exchange resin without affecting the quality of bisphenol A. SOLUTION: The method for recovering the phenol on the production of the bisphenol A by washing a strongly acidic ion exchange resin partially modified with a sulfur amine compound with the phenol, condensing the phenol with acetone in the presence of the washed ion exchange resin as a catalyst, vacuum-distilling the reaction product solution to separate the overhead fraction from the bottom fraction containing the bisphenol A, concentrating the bottom fraction to form crystals, and then recovering the bisphenol A from the crystals is characterized in that the washed phenol solution is distilled to recover the phenol.
