摘要：PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a camera by reducing the total number of interfaces and to improve convenience for users by performing optimal display in accordance with connected external equipment. SOLUTION: The electronic camera system has: a recording means for recording image information which is processed by an image pickup processing means on an information recording medium; an interface part which is capable of connecting a plurality of kinds of external equipment; a display means which displays a connecting status of the external equipment and is capable of displaying at least one of a mode status of recording or reproducing, a frame number and a file processing status; a discrimination means for discriminating the kind of the external equipment connected to the interface part; and a display control means for controlling display to make different display contents on the display means in accordance with the discriminated result.
