摘要：PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent such a malfunction that a collating position is different from a desired position from occurring by permitting an automatic collating mode in the case of simultaneously selecting a plural-original mode, a horizontally written original mode and the automatic collating mode. SOLUTION: After waiting for the start of a sheet housing operation, sheet housing operation is performed (S1 and S2). In the case of an automatic stapling mode, whether or not the mode is a two-in-one mode is judged (S4). When the mode is not the two-in-one mode, automatic stapling processing is performed (S5). When it is the two-in-one mode, classifying the case in the two-in-one mode and at the same time in the automatic stapling mode is performed (S6). In the case of selecting the horizontally written original mode, stapling can be performed, but a failure occurs in the case of selecting a vertically written original mode. Therefore, whether stapling is possible or not is judged by utilizing the description direction of an original.
