摘要：PURPOSE:To enable the obtaining of a detection value with a higher S/N value by providing an ultrasonic reflection type sensor to detect the presence of a paper following the fixing of an image via an electrophotographic development process. CONSTITUTION:An ultrasonic reflection type sensor 4 which irradiates a paper 1 with an ultrasonic wave to identify whether the paper is present by reflected wave thereof is mounted at a discharge port of the paper 1. The paper 1 finished with a fixing by a fixing part is discharged outside the apparatus with a discharging roller 3. When the paper is discharged outside the apparatus, whether the paper 1 is present is identified by the sensor 4. The use of the sensor 4 eliminates effect by disturbing of light to achieve a detection value with a higher S/N ratio, thereby getting rid of detection of errors.
