摘要：A circuit board for use as a backplane in complex electronic apparatus comprises a main metal sheet (1) having therethrough a plurality of identical groups of holes (2) in which are secured rigid metal pins (4) insulated from and upstanding from opposite faces of the main sheet. Elongate electrical conductors (5) are spaced from, and insulated by air from, a face of the main sheet, each of which conductors extends between and is connected to corresponding pins of the groups. A supplementary metal sheet (6) spaced from, and insulated by air from, the conductors on the side of the conductors remote from the face of the main sheet has a like number of identical groups of holes (8) through which the rigid pin (4) protrude, the holes in the supplementary sheet having diameters greater than those of the pins. Extending between and connected to the main and supplementary sheets are upstanding metal walls (7) which shield each conductor and the pins to which it is connected. The mutually spaced groups of pins each constitute a multi-pin connector to which can be connected a female edge connector of a circuit board. <IMAGE>
