摘要：PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a facsimile terminal that more efficiently selects paper of an optimum size. SOLUTION: This facsimile terminal has a SAF memory 3 that stores received images and transmission images, a communication section 4 that conducts transmission and reception, a paper selection section 6 that selects a print paper size optimum to a received image size, a paper selection setting storage section 7 that stores settings as to whether the image is to be printed on paper of an optimum size among existing paper sheets or the image is to be preferentially printed on paper of a size used most frequently in the past printing, and a use frequency storage section 8 that stores the number of times of the use of paper sizes used for printing by received sizes and received opposite particles. A CPU 1 adopts the frequency of use preferentially as its control criterion so as to avoid printing when the size of the highest frequency of use is a size more suitable for printing among the paper sizes used for printing in the past rather than the optimum size among the paper sizes set as present point of time. Thus, the facsimile terminal can flexibly cope with the operator's environment and the desired operation.
