摘要：1306593 Azo dyes of the formazone series and their metal complexes SANDOZ Ltd 16 April 1970 [12 May 1969] 18213/70 Heading C4P The invention comprises azo dyes and their metal complexes which in one of the possible tautomeric forms and in the metal-free state correspond to the formula where X represents -SO 3 H or -COCH 2 -SO 3 H and the aromatic rings A may bear the same or different substituents but are free from sulphonic acid groups. The dyes may be prepared by coupling 1 mole of acetone monosulphonic acid in alkaline medium with 2 moles of the diazo compound of an unsulphonated 1-amino- 2-hydroxybenzene or with 2 moles of a mixture of diazo compounds of two different 1-ammo-2- hydroxybenzenes and optionally treating the dye thus formed, in substance or on the fibre with a compound donating metal. Metal donors include copper, nickel and cobalt salts, and metallization if desired may be carried out during the coupling reaction. The metal complexes may be 2 : 1 or 1 : 1.
