摘要：<p>The present projection display apparatus includes an illumination source (11), an LCD panel (19) including a polarizing plate (6), a light projecting and receiving combinational lens (7), a screen (3), a light pen (2), a detection-use polarizing plate (10), a CCD (8), and a control circuit (13) for controlling an operation of the LCD panel (19) upon receiving a signal from the CCD (8). The combinational lens (7) throws light of a display image from the LCD panel (19) to project the light on the screen (3). Meanwhile, the lens (7) receives light from the display image and luminescent spot light from the pen (2) to focus them on the LCD panel (19) and then reflect the same to make them incident on the CCD (8) via the detection-use polarizing plate (10). The detection-use polarizing plate (10) does not transmit the light of the display image. <MATH></p>
