SOLUTION: This controller a1 for an induction motor A1 is provided with a magnetic flux reference outputting device 1, a magnetic flux controller 2 operated based on the magnetic flux deviation of a magnetic flux reference from actual magnetic flux, a magnetic flux current distribution controller 3 operated based on the magnetic flux current distribution deviation of a magnetic flux current distribution reference from actual magnetic flux current distribution, a speed controller 4 operated based on the speed deviation of a speed reference from actual speed, and a dΦ/dt limiter 5 defining the upper limit value of a change rate by unit of hour of a magnetic flux reference value outputted from the magnetic flux reference outputting device.
