摘要：A portable system and method for processing waste to be solidified and placed in an active cell of a landfill. A portable base frame for supporting a landfill waste enclosure such as a silo or pressurized vessel may be used. An improved slide gate for use with the silo, as well as an improved feed hopper for conveying landfill waste, are also disclosed.

A portable system located on a landfill for use in storing and processing waste so that it can be made landfill-ready, comprising: a portable enclosure for receiving and storing the waste, the portable enclosure having support legs; a base frame portable over a surface of the landfill, wherein the base frame is connected to the support legs at attachment points, and the base frame supports the portable enclosure on the landfill surface; wherein the base frame comprises support members and outrigger legs, and wherein the outrigger legs extend substantially outside a perimeter formed by the attachment points.
