摘要：PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel assembly having compatibility with existing reactors having a satisfactory manufacturability even when a SiC/SiC composite material is used.SOLUTION: A fuel assembly in an embodiment includes: plural fuel rods 200 arranged in a reticular pattern; and an upper structure member; and a lower structure member. Each of the plural fuel rods 200 has plural segment elements 210 which are arranged in series, and a connection part 300 which connects segment elements 210 therebetween with a bending rigidity in a predetermined range. Each of the segment elements 210 includes: a nuclear fuel 211; a cladding tube 212 made of a silicon carbide fiber reinforced composite material; an upper end plug 213 made of a silicon carbide fiber reinforced composite material; and a lower end plug 214 made of a silicon carbide fiber reinforced composite material.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
