摘要:<p>PURPOSE:To a detect a fault of a transmission line between intermediate relay units very quickly by sending a supervisory and controlling signal at every adjacent two monitoring units from a centralized monitoring equipment with one polling in the occurrence of a fault and informing the result of monitor to the centralized monitoring equipment. CONSTITUTION:When a fault takes place in a transmission line 4, a CPU 70 of a centralized monitoring equipment 7 sends a supervisory and controlling signal. A CPU 20 of each monitoring unit 5 decides the signal to be addressed to its own station (two adjacent monitoring units 5 are addressed to its own station), matrix switches 15, 16 are subjected to switching control. Thus, a pattern signal generated from a pattern generator 17 of the monitoring unit 3 at the right side is sent to a monitoring winding 14 of an output transformer 38 of a repeater 12 of the intermediate relay unit 3 at the right side via the matrix switches 15, 16 and the changeover switch 25. Whether or not a fault takes place is detected by applying polling at every two adjacent monitoring units for the monitor operation.</p>
