摘要：PURPOSE:To effectively prevent an accident such as explosion by disposing a deep-bottomed water tank which stores cooling water of more than approximately four times the weight of the molten steel in a tundish below the outlet of a mold. CONSTITUTION:A deep-bottomed water tank 6 which stores cooling water of more than approximately four times the weight of the molten steel in a tundish is disposed below the ingot drawing port of a mold 2 and below the beginning end of a roller turntable 4. Therefore, even if an ingot 3 breaks out owing to a certain cause and the unsolidified molten steel flows out, the molten steel drops into the tank 6 and disperses into the form of particles owing to the effect of a large amount of the water, whereby explosion is prevented and the spreading of the molten steel onto the floor is prevented.
