摘要：PURPOSE:To realize a desirable depth height and to reduce cost by using a flat projection type cathode ray tube in which an angle formed by a fluorescent surface and the axis of an electron gun satisfies a certain range. CONSTITUTION:As the projection type cathode ray tube 4, the flat cathode ray tube is used and the angle theta formed by the normal line at the center part of the fluorescent surface 41 of the projection type cathode ray tube and the axis of the electron gun is constituted so as to be 70 deg.<theta<124 deg.. Thereby the depth and the height of a PTV are considerably reduced and the length of the neck part of the projection type cathode ray tube can be made long without being influenced by the depth of the PTV. The electron gun of low magnification and high focus can be used, a picture of high resolution can be obtained, an optical system can be simplified, the cost is reduced and the adjustment can be made easy.
