摘要：According to one aspect, a communication apparatus is provided which is on a LAN and coupled to a server via an external network involving a NAT traversal with a router of the LAN. The communication apparatus is configured to determine a configuration of the router of the LAN; and request the server to transmit a NAT update request packet to the router, which is registered in the server and performs the NAT traversal, when it is determined that the configuration of the router of the LAN is in two or more stages.
