摘要：A method and an apparatus for measuring air pressure of a tire are provided to determine an error in tire air pressure by comparing the vibration frequency by the tire rigidity with the reference value of the tire air pressure which is measured previously. An apparatus for measuring air pressure of a tire comprises a first step of calculating reference data of the natural frequency of the tire, a second step of detecting the complex vibration frequency of the tire generated from a G-sensor mounted on a knuckle(4) of a wheel(3) of the actual vehicle in traveling, a third step of passing the frequency region of the detected complex vibration frequency resulting from the tire rigidity and removing the signal due to the other vibration, a fourth step of making the vibration by the tire rigidity pass through a time-frequency converter in order to detect the frequency, a fifth step of comparing the frequency detected in the fourth step with a graph of the natural frequency to air pressure and obtaining the corresponding air pressure, and a sixth step of generating a warning signal when the corresponding air pressure is less than the reference value.
