摘要:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust purification device of an internal combustion engine capable of appropriately performing detachment process of a NOx trap catalyst.SOLUTION: An exhaust purification device for an internal combustion engine: calculates an estimated oxygen consumption period when S purge control is being executed and a temperature of a NOx trap catalyst is not less than a S purge executable lower limit temperature (S10 to S14); increases an injection amount of an HC addition post injection when the estimated oxygen consumption period is longer than a predetermined period in a manner that increases the injection amount of HC addition post injection with respect to the same at the time of a performance test as a difference between the estimated oxygen consumption period and the predetermined period gets larger (S16 and S18); and, in contrast, decreases the injection amount of the HC addition post injection when the estimated oxygen consumption period is shorter than the predetermined period in a manner that decreases the injection amount of HC addition post injection with respect to the same at the time of the performance test as the difference between the estimated oxygen consumption period and the predetermined period gets smaller (S16, S20 and S22).
