摘要:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce density unevenness by obtaining combination of recording elements whose dot sizes to be recorded are different for a recording element of an area (connecting area) in which two recording element chips overlap with simple processing in a recording device.SOLUTION: Distribution ratio of large and small dots is used to correspond to each of an overlapping area and a non-overlapping area between a recording element chip A71 and a recording element chip A72 when generating recording data. In the overlapping area, distribution of the large and small dots are performed based on the distribution ratio of large and small dots without distinguishing the recording element chips. Dot distribution processing (connecting mask processing) same as that in recording is performed, and it is determined which nozzle of the recording element chip is used for the overlapping area. Thus, even in the overlapping area of the recording element chips, the distribution ratio of large and small dots can be determined by the same processing as that of the non-overlapping area.
