摘要:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable smooth mutual extension between two different line voltage sections. SOLUTION: When an electric vehicle travels through a section with a feeding voltage of 1,500 V higher than an operating voltage of 750 V for the electric vehicle or through a section with a feeding voltage of 600 V lower than the operating voltage, switching means 11, 12, 21, and 22 connect one of capacitors 52 and 57 to a pantograph 1 to charge the connected capacitor with the feeding voltage. This charge voltage is lowered or raised by a voltage converter 71 to 750 V to charge the other of the capacitors 52 and 57. This charge voltage is supplied to drive an electric vehicle drive unit 8. When the electric vehicle travels through a section in which the feeding voltage is 750 V, the switching means 11, 12, 21, and 22 connect the capacitors 52 and 57 to the pantograph 1 as well as the electric vehicle drive unit 8. Hence the charge voltage of 750 V accumulated in the capacitors 52 and 57 is supplied to the electric vehicle drive unit 8 to drive the electric vehicle. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
