摘要:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wind power generator that is equipped with a vertical-shaft type windmill having a rotary shaft in the vertical direction, can efficiently generate power even under conditions of weak wind and unstable wind direction, and occupies a small area.SOLUTION: A wind power generator G1 includes a windmill 1, a housing 2 and a vertical tail 4. The housing 2 covers a range along a rotation orbit between the most windward point P1 located at the most windward side on the rotation orbit of a rotation external edge of a blade 12 of the windmill 1 and the reverse side boundary point P4 located on the rotation orbit at least 1/4 of the rotation orbit apart from the point P1 in the reverse direction of rotation, and rotates relatively to the windmill 1 around the rotation shaft 13 of the windmill 1. The vertical tail 4 which is integrated with the housing 2 is disposed at the lee side of the rotation shaft 13 of the windmill 1 and above the windmill 1. The housing 2 and the vertical tail 4 are arranged so as to be enclosed inside an imaginary circle which is drawn by a windward edge E1 located at the most windward side of a reverse side wall 23 (windbreak member) of the housing 2 when the housing 2 rotates.
