摘要:<p>The method involves scanning a blade surface by an electrode designed as a contact sensor, where the blade surface is located behind a cutting edge (16) of a chopping blade (1). The contact time of the electrode to the blade surface is detected. The electrode is moved in the axial direction of a chopping drum (14). The electrode and the chopping blade are applied to a current source (7). The circuit of the current source is closed for the duration of a contact of the chopping blade to the electrode. An independent claim is included for an apparatus for detecting the sharpness of the cutting edges of chopping knives.</p>
