摘要：A plasma display panel is provided with a front surface plate, and a rear surface plate provided opposite the front surface plate. The front surface plate has a display electrode, a dielectric layer for covering the display electrode, and a protective layer for covering the dielectric layer. The protective layer has a base layer, and a metal oxide formed on the base layer. In the metal oxide, the ratio between the maximum intensity of photoluminescence in a wavelength range of 200 nm to less than 300 nm and the maximum intensity of photoluminescence in a wavelength range of 300 nm to less than 500 nm is 0.1 to 10. The metal oxide includes aluminum at a weight concentration of 50 ppm to 200 ppm and fluorine at a weight concentration of 150 ppm to 600 ppm.
