摘要：Abstract Fault Current Limiter A fault current limiter has a ferromagnetic core (1) which in at least one region has at least one AC coil winding (4.1) and in at least one other region a DC coil winding (3) for magnetic saturation of the core (1) in the normal operating condition. To compensate for the effects of the magnetic leakage fluxes, with the aim of still further reducing the inductive reactance, the cross-sectional area of the region with the AC coil winding (4.1) is reduced in relation to the cross-sectional area of the region carrying the DC coil winding (2) to such an extent that the magnetic flux density in the region carrying the AC coil winding (4.1) in the normal operating condition there reaches at least the value required for magnetic saturation.
