摘要：In a bolted joint, the space between the bolt and the walls of the holes is filled with a cold-setting resin-compound comprising, e.g. epoxy resin "Araldite" (Registered Trade Mark), containing a filler, e.g. metal or quartz powder, or glass fibres. In another example the compound comprises an epoxy resin R18774/1 sold by Bakelite Ltd., Polyamide 125 sold by Cornelius Chemical Co., and atomized aluminium dust. The Provisional Specification describes also a compound comprising "Araldite" liquid adhesive 103, the hardener 951, and a filler, e.g. silica meal, red iron oxide, chromic oxide and zinc oxide and/or alumina. The compounds may be coloured to facilitate inspection in the joint. Specifications 423,926 and 423,996 are referred to.
