摘要:<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a friction material for brake pads with less wear volume, and causing no damage to the brake rotor. <P>SOLUTION: The friction material for brake pads contains a fibrous substrate, a thermosetting resin binder and a friction/wear regulator as principal ingredients. The fibrous substrate is composed of: an Ni-Al-based alloy containing 0.1-8 mass% Al with residue of Ni and inevitable impurities; an Ni-Al-based alloy containing further 0.1-5 mass% Si; an Ni-Al-based alloy containing further one or two of Ti and Cr of 0.1-1 mass% in total; or an Ni-Al-based alloy where a part of Ni is replaced with 60 mass% or less of Fe. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
