摘要:<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration type drive device capable of executing stable drive at a low speed, increasing the dynamic range of a driving speed, and improving wear resistance when constituting the vibration type drive device by progressive vibrations. <P>SOLUTION: The vibration type drive device includes: a vibrator provided with an electromechanical energy conversion element and an elastic body to which the electromechanical energy conversion element is fixed, and configured to excite the progressive vibrations in the vibrator and generate an elliptic motion in a friction drive part formed at the elastic body by applying a plurality of driving signals; and a body to be driven, which is brought into frictional contact with the friction drive part of the vibrator and relatively moved to the vibrator by the elliptic motion. The friction drive part has a convex part and a concave part, the convex part and the concave part form a continuous curved surface shape, and one or two convex parts are provided per wavelength of the progressive vibrations in the relatively moving direction of the body to be driven on the maximum part of the driving vibrations of the elastic body in the relatively moving direction of the body to be driven, generated by the application of the plurality of driving signals. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
