摘要:The invention mainly relates to a method for determining the mass flow rate (D1) of air entering the intake manifold (3) of an internal combustion engine (2) provided with an exhaust-gas recirculation system (10), wherein said intake manifold (3) has a water-cooled air exchanger (6) built therein, the method being characterized in that it includes at least the steps of: determining the mass flow rate (D2) of the recirculated gases (D2) entering the intake manifold (3); determining the flow rate (D3) of gas entering the intake manifold (3) using the Saint-Venant formula; and determining the mass flow rate (D1) of air entering the intake manifold (3) by means of the difference between the mass flow rate (D3) of gas entering the intake manifold (3) and the mass flow rate (D2) of the recycled gas entering the intake manifold (3). The invention also relates to a device implementing said method.
