摘要：<p>The present invention provides methods of determining the effect of test agents on the compliance of trabecular meshwork (TM) tissue, at the level of the extracellular matrix (ECM) and/or cells within the TM. Agents that modulate (e.g., increase or decrease) compliance of the TM tissue find use. Agents that increase the compliance of ECM and TM cells within the TM find use in the treatment and prevention of eye disorders characterized by high intraocular pressure, e.g., glaucoma.</p>
