摘要：<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording control method capable of optimizing a recording parameter even when an initial recording condition described on a disk is greatly different from a drive optimum value. <P>SOLUTION: When an initial WS described on the disk is greatly different from an optimum WS of the drive, if no WS adjustment based on MLSE is completed (No in S23), a WS adjustment using &beta; value is made in addition to the WS adjustment based on MLSE (S24, S22).
