摘要：PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an charging device capable of preventing adhesion of dusts to a top-end section of a discharge electrode, and to provide an image forming apparatus which includes the charging device. SOLUTION: The charging device 32A of the image forming apparatus 1 comprises an air flow generating device 632A for vacuuming air not including dusts from outside of an image forming unit 101 and for sending air flow to an air intake port 524A formed in a bottom surface 521A of a case 52A via a channel 43A. The air flow taken from the air intake port 524A into the case 52A is guided to the top end section 531A of the discharge electrode 53A by a guide plate 56A and an air barrier 57A for passing through the top end section 531A and for being discharged to the outside of the image forming unit 101, from an exhaust port 63A via an exhaust duct 62A from an opening surface 520A of the case 52A. A circulation air flow J1 is generated in the case 52A by ion wind.
