摘要：EXTRATOS E COMPOSTOS PROVENIENTES DE AGAPANTHUS AFRICANUS E USO DOS MESMOS COMO AGENTES BIOLóGICOS PROTETORES DE PLANTAS. A presente invenção se refere a extratos vegetais, especialmente baseados em espécies do gênero Agapanthus e combinações dos mesmos com outros extratos que derivam de outras plantas. A invenção se refere ainda ao isolamento, à purificação e à identificação de compostos nestes extratos. Os extratos vegetais e as substâncias isoladas exibem atividade antimicrobiana significativa, especialmente atividade antifúngica e eficiência bioestimuladora, quando aplicados em outras plantas in vitro e in vivo, inclusive sob condições de campo. Os produtos de acordo com esta invenção são adequados para serem utilizados como agentes de proteção de plantas para muitas plantas de cultivo e plantas de valor económico como uma alternativa para pesticidas químicos.
