摘要：PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL element which allows charges to be well injected from an electrode, is less apt toy cause deterioration of the interface between a charge injection/transport layer and the electrode, and attains high efficiency and prolonged lifetime.SOLUTION: The organic EL element includes a positive electrode, a first hole injection/transport layer, a second injection/transport layer, a light-emitting layer and a negative electrode. If the ionization potential of the constituent material of the first hole injection/transport layer is Ip, the ionization potential of the constituent material of the second hole injection/transport layer is Ipand the ionization potential of the constituent material of the light-emitting layer is Ip, Ip<Ip≤Ipis satisfied. If the electron affinity of the constituent material of the first hole injection/transport layer is Ea, the electron affinity of the constituent material of the second hole injection/transport layer is Ea; and the electron affinity of the constituent material of the light-emitting layer is Ea, and relations Ea<Eaand Ea≥Eaare satisfied. The second injection/transport layer contains a bipolar material capable of transporting holes and electrons.
