摘要:<p>Preparation of a copolymer in a semi-continuous manner in a polymerization device, where acid monomer is provided in a metering device and polyether macro-monomer and water are provided in a polymerization reactor, comprises: dosing the acid monomer from the metering unit into the polymerization reactor, where before and/or during the dosing of the acid monomers a radical polymerization initiator is present, so that an aqueous medium originates in the reactor; and radically polymerizing the acid monomer and polyether macro-monomer to form copolymers. Preparation of a copolymer in a semi-continuous manner in a polymerization device containing a polymerization reactor connected with a metering device, where acid monomer is provided in the metering device and polyether macro-monomer and water are provided in the polymerization reactor, comprises: dosing the acid monomer from the metering unit into the polymerization reactor, where before and/or during the dosing of the acid monomers a radical polymerization initiator is present, so that an aqueous medium originates in the reactor; and radically polymerizing the acid monomer and polyether macro-monomer to form copolymers. A hydrogen peroxide or alkali peroxodisulfate containing redox initiator system is used as radical polymerization initiator. The temperature of the aqueous medium is adjusted to 43[deg] C during the polymerization and to 28[deg] C at the beginning of the polymerization. One to twenty mole of acid monomer is used for one mole of polyether macro-monomer. The total ratio of polyether macro-monomer to water is 5:1-1:5. At least 70 wt.% of water supplied in the polymerization reactor is provided in such a way that it is either given with a maximum temperature of 19[deg] C into the Polymerization reactor or that it is associated, before it is given in the polymerization reactor, with the polyether macro-monomer and thus exhibiting a temperature of maximum 19[deg] C. An independent claim is also included for a copolymer produced by the above method.</p>
