摘要：<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alkaline battery of high capacity with a thin barrel portion of a battery case in which increase of the outer diameter dimension of the battery after discharge is suppressed, and which can be installed and detached in and from a battery housing smoothly. <P>SOLUTION: A positive electrode 2 and a negative electrode 3 are contained in a bottomed cylindrical battery case 1 through a separator 4, and the aperture of the battery case 1 is sealed through a gasket 5. The thickness of the barrel portion 1a of the battery case 1 is 0.1-0.17 mm, the positive electrode 2 is made of a material in which graphite is added in manganese dioxide, and the density of the graphite in the positive electrode material is 0.12-0.23 g/cm<SP>3</SP>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
