摘要：A method for manufacturing polyol is provided to obtain ethylene oxide-containing polyol economically by using alkali or alkaline earth metal hydroxide, and carboxylate or hydride catalyzing. A method for manufacturing polyol comprises (1) a step for base-catalyzing (a) at least one alkylene oxide in at least one polyfunctional initiator having (b) a Zerewitinoff-active hydrogen atom, in the presence of (c) at least one catalyst of 0.004-0.5 weight % concentration based on the based on amount of the final product; and (2) a step for neutralizing the alkaline polymerization-active center of a crude alkylene oxide addition product by adding 66-100 mole % of a sulfuric acid contained in the crude polymer, based on the acid used.
