摘要:Disclosed are: a novel lipase which is produced by a bacterium belonging to the genus Tetrasphaera and has a molecular weight of about 32 kDa; and a gene encoding the lipase. The lipase can recognize a middle-chain fatty acid as a substrate. Specifically, disclosed are: a novel lipase which is produced by a bacterium belonging to the genus Tetrasphaera, can recognize a middle-chain or long-chain fatty acid as a substrate, and has a molecular weight of about 40 kDa; and a polynucleotide encoding the lipase. Also disclosed is NITE strain P-154 of a bacterium belonging to the genus Tetrasphaera. The lipase can be used as an immobilized enzyme and is useful in the fields such as the production of a digestant or a flavoring agent, the production of a clinical test reagent, an enzyme for detergent or an oil-and-fat, and the production of an optically active intermediate for the production of an agrichemical/pharmaceutical.
