摘要：PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of stably transporting a medium to be recorded and extending service life of a fixing device. SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus (1) includes a fixing device 14 comprising; heating and fixing means (19 and 33) which are formed in an endless manner and have elastic layers near surfaces thereof; a pressure belt 20 which forms a nip part in cooperation with the heat fixing means and makes the medium to be recorded pass the nip part to fix a transferred unfixed toner image by heating; and a pressure member 28 for pressing the pressure belt toward the heating and fixing means. In this image forming apparatus (1), curved surfaces R are formed in portions placed in front and behind in a movement direction of the medium to be recorded, of a side facing the pressure belt of the pressure member.
