摘要：A method for driving an LCD is provided to minimize the shortening of lifetime of an organic EL(Electro-Luminescent) backlight unit and prevent the blinking defect on a screen of the LCD. First to n-th synchronization signals, which correspond to first to n-th sections of a unit frame, are sequentially applied to a controller of a backlight unit. The first to n-th synchronization signals are compared with a blank signal pre-inputted. When the k-th synchronization signal among the first to n-th synchronization signals is equal to the blank signal, the k-th section of the unit frame is set to an off section of the backlight unit.
