SOLUTION: A transmitter 21 of a communication system 11 for performing communication according to a communication parameter value taking a value within a predetermined range stores a present communication parameter value and a difference value for updating the communication parameter, and transmits information to be transmitted on the basis of the communication parameter to a receiver 31. The receiver 31 receives the information transmitted from the transmitter 21, and reports the reception quality when the information is transmitted, to the transmitter 21. The transmitter 21 accepts the reception quality to be reported from the receiver 31. For the communication parameter value and the difference value, the transmitter 21 reverses the code of the difference value if the reception quality accepted deteriorates, reverses the code of the difference value if the sum of the communication parameter value and the difference value exceeds the predetermined range, and updates the code so that the difference value is added to the communication parameter value.
