摘要：PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester produced by a production method using a catalyst containing metal components other than antimony, germanium and titanium as main metal components, forming little insoluble foreign materials, and exhibiting its characteristic features in the field of ultrafine fiber, highly transparent film for optical use, a hollow molded article, etc., and provide a molded article of the polyester. SOLUTION: A polyester is produced in the presence of a polyester polycondensation catalyst composed of at least one component selected from aluminum compounds and at least one component selected from phosphorus compounds. In the polyester production process, the aluminum compound and the phosphorus compound are used in the form of solutions and the solutions are mixed immediately before adding to the polycondensation reaction system.
