摘要：PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow batch adjustment of attenuation amount in a plurality of optical fiber lines by a simple constitution. SOLUTION: The optical attenuator 11 is of a type in which light is attenuated with a space S formed between end faces of a pair of optical connector ferrules 12, 12' which are opposite to each other. The optical connector ferrules 12, 12' are ferrules for multiple coated optical fiber and of a pin fitting positioning type. A region including for example an optical fiber hole 3 line in the end face of one optical connector ferrule 12 is made a recess part 17, thereby a space S is formed between the optical fiber exposed end faces 12a, 12'a when the tip end faces of both optical connector ferrules 12, 12' are butted to each other.
