摘要:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for adding a synchronization function to an instrument that would otherwise not support the synchronization function by using the add-on module. SOLUTION: The add-on module is provided which can add the synchronization function to a legacy device by interfacing with an existing legacy device. This module comprises an interface communicatively coupled to an instrument and an event manager that is operable to trigger at least one action so as to synchronize the implementation of at least one action at the instrument with the implementation of another action by at least one other instrument.
