摘要：<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter for a liquid crystal display device comprising a resin black matrix and coloring pixels successively formed on a glass substrate and excellent in surface smoothness of an opening part region of the color filter, and a method for manufacturing the color filter for the liquid crystal display device. <P>SOLUTION: In the color filter for the liquid crystal display device comprising the coloring pixel 12 formed on the glass substrate 10 in the state in which its peripheral part is overlapping with an edge part of the resin black matrix 11 and having a high protrusion 13 on the edge part, which is produced by the overlap with the coloring pixel, the color filter is constructed in such a way that a transparent resin layer 14 is selectively formed on the coloring pixel on the upper side of an opening part 16 of the resin black matrix. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
