摘要：<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical film having wide viewing angle characteristics and excellent durability. <P>SOLUTION: In the optical film obtained by stretching a polymer film containing a polycarbonate resin and a styrene resin, a photoelastic coefficient is 2.0×10<SP>-11</SP>to 6.0×10<SP>-11</SP>m<SP>2</SP>/N, and the three-dimensional refractive index is controlled in such a manner that: the Nz coefficient defined by Nz=(nx-nz)/(nx-ny) satisfies Nz≤0.9, wherein nx, ny, nz are the refractive index along the X, Y and Z axes, the X axis is in the direction giving the maximum refractive index in the film plane, the Y axis is perpendicular to the X axis, and the Z axis is in the thickness direction of the film; and the front face retardation (Re) expressed by (Re)=(nx-ny)×d satisfies Re≥80 nm, wherein d is the film thickness (nm). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
